XD COACHES MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Corey Olynik – Co-Founder

“Helping individuals become more gives me energy,” says Corey Olynik, founder of LifeQues Inc. and Chair of TEC 219 (The Executive Committee). “The most exciting thing about my work is the expectation that I will ask the tough questions, and look underneath the surface rooting out causes for personal and corporate logjams. Then, I get to watch the breakthroughs.” Lights On Corey sums up his role this way: “I feel best when I see someone’s lights go on.”

Olynik is a results-oriented leadership coach with a solid track record in business management, strategic planning, customer service, human resources, change management and communications. As a partner in LifeQues Inc., he advises and assists individuals and organizations in recognizing and reaching their potential.

“I’ve worked with achievers in a number of different venues: entrepreneurs, political figures, non-profit leaders. The common thread is that usually they spend too much of their energy dealing with symptoms and not enough working on causes. They are often trapped ‘in the business’ and unable to work ‘on the business.’ Helping people make that transition (that leap!) is my passion.” Tough Questions “The most exciting thing about my work is the expectation that I will ask the tough questions…”

Olynik’s experience has been gained in the private, public and non-profit sectors, working primarily in executive management positions with medium to large organizations. A former strategic advisor to senior political leaders at all three levels of government, he has a varied background of leadership and management. He has served as Executive Director of a successful province-wide organization and Regional Manager (Western Canada) for a major national business-to-business firm.

He sums up his role this way: “I feel best when I see someone’s lights go on.”

Ruth Esau

“Helping others build on the potential within, energizes me” says Ruth Esau Founder of Inspired to Lead and experienced coach with Executive Directions. “I am energized by the privilege and opportunity to hear the challenges leaders face, to affirm their strength, challenge their thinking and just as Heart of the Matter "I feel most fully alive when after getting to the heart of the matter, I see ‘ah-ha’s’ turn into tangible movement forward.”you would twist a Kaleidoscope, help them see a new pattern or opportunity.”

Esau is an outcome-focused leader with proven experience in areas of human resources, customer service, strategic thinking, people development, visionary leadership and change management.

“In my interactions with influential leaders, I have seen how easy it is to focus on the Twist a Kaleidoscope "…challenge their thinking and just as you would twist a Kaleidoscope, help them see a new pattern or opportunity.” skill side of leading, which is a must, and yet tend to neglect the people development side of leading. People skills or emotional intelligence accounts for 85% of failure in leadership. I am passionate about facilitating organizational skills and people skills coming together for greater synergy.”

Esau’s roles and experience have been honed in non-profit, ministry and retail management, locally and nationally. Esau’s certifications are in Coaching and Emotional Intelligence.

“I feel most fully alive when after getting to the heart of the matter, I see ‘ah-ha’s’ turn into tangible movement forward.”

Why We Lead

Leaders all have different drives:

  • To make a difference
  • Take advocate for those who can't
  • To change organizations for the best
  • To challenge their own abilities
  • To focus others on big possibilities
As a non-profit executive, have you ever asked yourself:

Is there a fast track to wisdom?

I want to be sharper, quicker and more confident in the choices I make and the directions I head.

Who can I talk to that “gets it” about the uniqueness (or is it the peculiarity) of non-profit leadership?

I want to talk with people who understand what I sense on a daily and yearly basis.

Where can I go to learn what I need to know when I need to know it?

I want to grow in areas that will make a difference in my life and my work; I need something more specific than some institution’s predetermined curriculum or agenda.

Who can I trust, really trust?

I want to be able to ask questions without risk; I want to dig into myself and my work without worrying about what people think of me; I want to tell the whole story and get genuine feedback and input.

Who pushes me to my potential as a leader, as a human being?

I’ve got more to offer than I currently show; I want to be challenged, I want to be pushed, I want to be accountable to something.
